Grandstream Releases New Layer 3 Multi-Gigabit Network Switches

The new GWN7821P and GWN7822P allow medium-to-large enterprises to build scalable, secure, and high performance business networks thanks to multi-gigabit ports

Boston, MA, USA - September 5, 2024 – Grandstream, connecting the world with award-winning unified communications and networking solutions since 2002, today released new layer 3 network switches. The GWN7821P and GWN7822P are layer 3 multi-gigabit network switches that provide 8 or 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 or 4 Gigabit SFP+ ports to enable enterprise-grade speeds up to 152Gbps. With complete end-to-end quality of service and flexible security settings, the GWN7820 series are the ideal managed PoE switches for medium-to-large businesses.

These layer 3 multi-gigabit network switches support advanced VLAN for flexible and sophisticated traffic segmentation, advanced QoS for prioritization of network traffic, IGMP/MLD Snooping for network performance optimization, and comprehensive security capabilities against potential attacks. They also provide smart dynamic PoE output to power IP phones, IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and other PoE endpoints. The GWN7820 series offers numerous free management options, including GDMS Networking and GWN Manager, Grandstream’s cloud and on-premise network management platform. They can also be managed through their local Web user interfaces, command-line interface (CLI), and with Grandstream's GWN Series of Routers. Notable features of the GWN7821P and GWN7822P include:

  • GWN7821P: 8x 2.5 Gigabit ports, 2 SFP+ ports
  • GWN7822P: 24 Gigabit ports (16x 1G ports, 8x 2.5G), 4 SFP+ ports
  • Smart power control to support dynamic PoE/PoE+ and PoE++
  • Supports deployment in IPv6 and IPv4 networks
  • Reliability features including fault detection, device protection, dual boot, dual system file redundancy, link aggregation, storm control, and more
  • ACL filtering of data packets by configuring matching rules, processing operations, and time schedules, and provides flexible security access control policies
  • Built-in QoS allows for prioritization of network traffic
  • Management options include: Embedded controller; GDMS Networking and GWN Manager, Grandstream’s free cloud and on-premise network management platform; CLI management; GWN router
