As Grandstream’s first Wi-Fi 7 router, the GWN7072 expands the company’s GWN networking portfolio with next-generation wireless performance, multi-gigabit connectivity, advanced security, intelligent traffic management, and seamless mesh networking.

The GWN7072 utilizes the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands to deliver aggregate wireless speeds of up to 11 Gbps while supporting advanced Wi-Fi 7 technologies including 4K-QAM, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), Multi-RU (MRU), preamble puncturing, and up to 320 MHz channel bandwidth. It supports up to 128 concurrent Wi-Fi clients and provides coverage of up to 1,883 square feet, making it ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as high-resolution streaming, video conferencing, cloud applications, and connected smart environments.

To maximize wired and wireless performance, the GWN7072 includes a 10 GbE Combo WAN port with RJ45 or SFP+ connectivity, one 2.5 GbE WAN/LAN port, and three dedicated 2.5 GbE LAN ports. It also supports Dual WAN with failover, load balancing, and standby policies, while delivering up to 10 Gbps NAT throughput. A USB 3.0 port adds support for USB LTE connectivity, network printing, and shared storage.

For larger homes and business environments, the GWN7072 provides intelligent mesh networking with support for up to 16 mesh nodes, enabling users to expand coverage while maintaining seamless roaming throughout the network. It also delivers comprehensive security and networking capabilities including multi-protocol VPN support, intelligent QoS, application monitoring, DPI, URL and application filtering, firewall protection, advanced parental controls, and secure boot.
