Grandstream Announces New Long-Range Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 Access Point
The new GWN7670ELR combines Wi-Fi 7 performance, Xtra Range 2.0 technology, IP67 weatherproof protection, and fiber connectivity to deliver powerful wireless coverage across expansive outdoor environments
Boston, MA, USA – September 10, 2026 – Grandstream, connecting the world with award-winning unified communications and networking solutions since 2002, today announced the release of the GWN7670ELR, a high-performance, long-range outdoor Wi-Fi 7 access point. Designed for medium-to-large businesses and expansive outdoor deployments, the GWN7670ELR combines next-generation Wi-Fi 7 performance with Grandstream’s Xtra Range 2.0 technology, a 350-meter coverage range, IP67 weatherproof protection, and flexible fiber connectivity. With support for up to 512 concurrent Wi-Fi clients, the GWN7670ELR is ideal for enterprises, warehouses, stadiums, parks, hospitals, schools, campuses, and other demanding outdoor environments.
The GWN7670ELR is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 BE3600 access point featuring 2.4 GHz 2×2:2 and 5 GHz 3×3:2 MU-MIMO with DL/UL OFDMA technology, delivering up to 3.6 Gbps aggregate wireless throughput. Advanced Wi-Fi 7 technologies including Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, and Preamble Puncturing maximize bandwidth utilization and network efficiency, while Xtra Range 2.0 technology on the 5 GHz band enhances signal penetration and extends wireless coverage up to 350 meters.
Built for demanding outdoor environments, the GWN7670ELR features an IP67-rated weatherproof enclosure along with wall- and pole-mounting options. A 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE+ and an integrated SFP port provide flexible deployment options, including single-mode and multi-mode fiber transmission across distances of up to 20 kilometers. The GWN7670ELR can be easily managed through its local Web UI, GDMS Networking, or GWN Manager and supports advanced features including mesh networking, captive portals, up to 1,000 PPSK accounts, advanced QoS, and comprehensive network security.
Notable features of the GWN7670ELR include:
- Wi-Fi 7 BE3600 with dual-band 2.4 GHz 2×2:2 and 5 GHz 3×3:2 MU-MIMO
- Up to 3.6 Gbps aggregate wireless throughput and 2.5 Gbps wired throughput
- Supports up to 512 concurrent Wi-Fi clients
- Provides wireless coverage of up to 350 meters (1,148 feet)
- Xtra Range 2.0 technology on the 5 GHz band enhances signal penetration and network coverage
- Integrated Wi-Fi 7 technologies including MLO, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, and Preamble Puncturing
- IP67-rated weatherproof protection for demanding outdoor environments
- 1× 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE+ and 1× SFP port
