Syneconomy S.A. is an accounting, payroll, legal, and tax services firm that provides comprehensive services to businesses and individuals throughout Greece. The company offers accounting and tax management for businesses of all sizes, complete payroll and labor management services, and representation before tax and insurance authorities. In addition, Syneconomy provides legal services spanning the full spectrum of commercial and tax law, while also specializing in the establishment of new businesses. The company also delivers specialized tax services for individuals. Syneconomy operates two offices: its headquarters in Patras and a secondary office in Kato Achaia.
Syneconomy invested more than one million euros in the purchase and renovation of a commercial building in Patras to serve as its new headquarters. The project involved a complete renovation, redesign, and change-of-use conversion of an entire 458-square-meter floor. Previously used as a tutoring center, the space was fully transformed to support the demanding operational needs of a modern accounting and law firm.
As part of the move, Syneconomy needed to deploy a comprehensive end-to-end communications, networking, and facility access solution. The company required advanced communication and collaboration tools for staff, secure and reliable network connectivity, and an intuitive solution for facility access and physical security.
The new deployment was built entirely from the ground up. Syneconomy’s previous office relied on isolated MikroTik devices without a unified architecture or fully designed network infrastructure. The new installation was carefully engineered to create a reliable, scalable, and well-structured IT environment capable of supporting the increased operational requirements of the company’s new headquarters. In addition, the new IT infrastructure needed to securely connect and share resources with the company’s remote office in Kato Achaia.
The overall design concept focused on creating an open-floor-plan environment that fostered collaboration while still clearly defining the responsibilities and workflows of each department. One of the primary challenges was accommodating up to 50 employees and 25 clients simultaneously without creating a crowded or congested atmosphere.
Syneconomy partnered with IQShop, a systems integrator in Greece, along with IQShop’s distribution partner, PartnerNET, to design and deploy the new IT infrastructure for its Patras headquarters. After evaluating solutions from Cisco, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, and an Issabel PBX platform, Syneconomy selected a complete end-to-end solution from Grandstream.
At the core of the deployment is the UCM6302 IP PBX combined with UCMRemoteConnect, enabling staff to securely access communication and collaboration tools from any location using IP phones and the Wave app on desktop and mobile devices.
The GCC6010 Convergence Solution was deployed to provide networking functionality by acting as a router and establishing a secure VPN connection between the Patras headquarters and the Kato Achaia branch office. Wireless connectivity throughout the office was delivered using GWN7662 Wi-Fi 6 access points.
The network backbone was built using GWN7802P and GWN7806P network switches, while staff members were equipped with GRP2612P IP phones. To provide secure and user-friendly facility access control, Syneconomy deployed the GDS3710 IP Video Door System.
The project was implemented in phases based on the company’s operational needs and growth plans. The IP PBX system was installed first, followed by the replacement of desk phones and the full upgrade of the network infrastructure. This phased deployment approach ensured a smooth transition without disrupting daily business operations.
The solution now supports approximately 50 workstations at the Patras headquarters, delivering stable connectivity, high performance, and uninterrupted daily operation without network-related issues. To securely connect the Patras office with the Kato Achaia branch located approximately 40 miles away, a VPN connection was established to enable unified operations, secure data exchange, and seamless collaboration between both locations.
By adopting a complete Grandstream solution, Syneconomy was able to source its communications, networking, and facility access infrastructure from a single manufacturer, significantly simplifying purchasing, deployment, and ongoing management. Because all deployed solutions are part of the Grandstream ecosystem, the entire IT environment can be centrally managed through the GDMS cloud management platform.
Grandstream was also selected because it is one of the few vendors capable of delivering a truly integrated solution spanning networking, unified communications, and facility access management. In addition, the company’s strong reputation and established presence throughout Europe provided further confidence in the decision.
Another key factor was Grandstream’s balance of performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. While higher-cost alternatives from vendors such as Cisco were considered, IQShop ultimately recommended Grandstream as the best fit for the project’s technical and financial requirements.
Technical support also played a major role in the decision-making process. The combined support provided by IQShop, PartnerNET, and Grandstream ensured a smooth, efficient, and properly executed implementation while minimizing potential risks and delays throughout the deployment.
The deployment delivered highly successful results for Syneconomy. The new Grandstream solution operates reliably and efficiently, fully meeting the company’s operational requirements without issues or interruptions. The upgraded infrastructure significantly improved daily operations by providing dependable connectivity and seamless communications across both office locations.
All deployed services continue to operate smoothly and exactly as originally designed. Syneconomy expressed a high level of satisfaction with the solution’s performance, ease of use, and the overall quality of the implementation, confirming the project’s success.
The completed project transformed an outdated facility into a modern professional workspace that successfully balances an open, collaborative atmosphere with the structure and functionality required of a modern corporate environment.
