Holmes Place Fitness Club is a leading fitness and wellness organization with clubs in Greece, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Portugal. More than a fitness destination, Holmes Place is a community built on balance, inclusivity, progress and sustainability as shared values. The organization has a strong presence throughout the Attica region of Greece, operating multiple facilities in key areas including Marousi, Psychiko, and Glyfada. As they expanded throughout Greece, a reliable unified communications solution became increasingly important to support daily operations and coordination between facilities. Holmes Place required a modern communications solution capable of supporting future growth while improving flexibility, reliability, and ease of management.
For their operations in Greece, Holmes Place Fitness Club was relying on an outdated Panasonic telephone system that had originally been installed in the 1990s. While the legacy platform had supported the organization for many years, it was no longer capable of meeting the demands of a modern multi-location business environment.
The organization had grown significantly over time, adding more employees, additional facilities, and increased communication requirements between locations. The aging infrastructure lacked the flexibility and modern capabilities needed to support cloud-based functionality, remote connectivity, and centralized management. In addition, the older system limited the organization’s ability to efficiently scale communications as new locations were added.
Holmes Place needed a fully modernized telecommunications solution that could unify communications across facilities, improve operational efficiency, and provide a platform capable of supporting continued expansion.
To modernize its communications infrastructure, Holmes Place Fitness Club deployed a complete Grandstream unified communications and networking solution across its facilities. The new solution provided a centralized communications platform that unified voice communications across multiple operational locations while supporting modern remote connectivity and management capabilities.
The UCM6300A IP PBX served as the core of the deployment, enabling advanced telephony features and centralized administration. GRP Series IP phones were deployed throughout the facilities to provide reliable and user-friendly desktop communications for staff, while WP816 Wi-Fi handsets enabled mobile communications for employees requiring mobility throughout the fitness centers. GWN7816P PoE network switches delivered reliable network connectivity and simplified infrastructure deployment by supporting power and data delivery through a single cable.
No competitive manufacturers or alternative solutions were considered during the project evaluation process, as Grandstream had already been identified as the best fit for the organization’s operational requirements and long-term goals.
